Summary
The Correction Affiliation and Maintenance Division consists of two main sections. They are Probation and Parole Section and Maintenance and Affiliation Section.
Objective
Provide quality information to the Courts and the Prison Parole Board and to effectively manage community based sentences. Administer and monitor maintenance for destitute persons, to prosecute affiliation matters to court and to undertake consultation and promotion of social harmony.
Core Functions
- Provide quality information to the Courts and the Prison Parole Board in pre-sentence and pre-parole reports and to effectively manage community based sentences.
- Provide effective support for the enforcement of Court decisions.
- Collect and monitor maintenance for destitute persons, to prosecute affiliation matters and to conduct mediation or reconciliation in the promotion of social harmony.
- To provide quality information to the Courts and Parole Board and to effectively manage community based Orders and sentences including the administration and monitoring of rehabilitation programmes.
- To conduct conciliations/consultations on Affiliation, Custody and Maintenance for destitute persons as well as divorce; and to prosecute and effectively enforce Court Orders.
